Up for sale is an incredible Santa Cruz "Custom D Model" D-1155 dreadnought acoustic guitar.

This was a special private order with custom specs by the original owner in the year 1994.

The model has been authenticated and identified directly by the Santa Cruz shop as a "D-1155 Custom D model completed in the May of 1994. This particular guitar features an Indian Rosewood back and sides with a German Spruce Top".

Original Custom Specs are as followed:

- 12 fret style neck.

- Doppler dot inlays on fingerboard.

- German Spruce Top.

- Black Ebony Made in Germany Tuning Pegs & Tuner.

- Medium Gauge setup strings requested by original owner.

- Hiscox Hardshell Case with Maroon Interior.

This Santa Cruz guitar is in overall excellent condition with some minor signs of wear on the top of headstock. The condition of the body and sides are top notch with only small signs of casual playing and age. There is a small blemish on the 2nd fret area on back of the guitar from previous owner by playing with a thumb ring. This has no effect on the playability or tone of the guitar and is only a superficial mark.

The build quality of this particular guitar is SUPERB... they are on a different level from higher end Martin or Gibson acoustic guitars. Santa Cruz are known for their boutique level of guitar making. This includes quality of tonal woods chosen, manufacturing process and luthier-work. The German Spruce Top paired with the Indian Rosewood Back/Sides gives this guitar a distinct but POWERFUL sound. This guitar is LOUD. Can easily fill up the sound of any room with ease if you really strummed the guitar hard.

3 of the bridge pins on have been swapped out to a larger sized version on bottom G, D, E strings. The previous owner said it was because he thought it made the guitar resonate a bit more for those strings (not sure if true or not.. but it was interesting concept).

It is clear that the previous owner kept great care of this instrument despite it being over a 30 year old guitar. From the thumb ring mark, it seems as if he was more of a cowboy chorder in his guitar playing style.

Overall, this is an extremely high quality acoustic guitar. It easily surpasses the quality and playability of most Martin, Taylor, Gibson, acoustic guitars that I've played. The guitar is light, yet very loud. The action is low and it is very easy to play this guitar with ease. Very impressed with this instrument.
