Up for sale is a very nice & well maintained 1969 Gibson LP Standard in Bright Tobacco Burst finish. This one’s got serious character. The top has beautiful Tobacco flame that shifts in the light—very 3D... Frets are in great shape, neck is smooth and fast, and the weight is that sweet spot—not a boat anchor, but still got the classic LP heft.

This specific Gibson Les Paul Standard is in overall EXCELLENT CONDITION. Very clean overall and very well-maintained for being over 35 years old. Some minor signs of surface scratches and marks on the finish of the body. Some scratches on front/back/sides of guitar from normal home playing. Some light dings and dust on headstock area from age. Some smudges on the body and sides of guitar from playing sitting down. Some minor surface scratch marks on middle of neck from normal play. The fretboard has been recently oiled and now plays excellent and super smooth. NO HEADSTOCK CRACK.

SUPER-FLAMEY Tobacco burst finish on the body of the guitar.. Honestly looks incredible in person. The flames aren't just focused in the center of the body...but instead the flames actually start from the EDGES of the body.. Looks really nice when you play this guitar in a bright room setting because it just pops out. You can tell they chose very high quality wood for these late 80's Gibson Les Paul bodies.

The previous owner upgraded the original pickups to a USA-Built vintage Seymour Duncan "59NJ/BJ" pickup for both neck and bridge. This guitar sounds incredible playing naturally straight through any decent tube amp. This 1989 Les Paul has been played through a Fender Princeton Reverb and Deluxe - and the sound is very crisp and smooth, especially when paired with a Reverb & Light distortion pedal. Very well rounded and balanced sounds from this guitar.. blues/jazz/rock players will enjoy this guitar.

This guitar was originally ordered without the pickguard attached (NO PICKGUARD HOLES DRILLED ON BODY). However, a brand new modern "ALL PARTS, HOUSTON TX, USA" Pickguard + Poker Chip" will be included in sale (UNATTACHED). If the next owner prefers the guitar with a pickguard + poker chip, they can add them if they wish.

VERY COMFORTABLE neck profile. This is a great neck profile for guitar players who enjoys playing chords (bar / cowboy) starting from Frets 1 to Frets 7 or 8. Very good and easy to solo on the upper registers of the neck too. If you have larger hands, I think you will enjoy how this guitar will feel on your hands when playing.

Overall, this is a very high quality Gibson Les Paul guitar. It feels very solid and well-constructed on your hands and it sounds excellent too when playing on an amp. This is the perfect guitar for players who are looking for a serious Les Paul to play/record/gig with and also for those who want a guitar that will hold and appreciate in value as well.
