Up for sale is a very RARE & EXCELLENT condition 2016 Gibson Midtown Deluxe in "ROOT-BEER" finish. This is a very UNDERRATED and very HIGH-QUALITY electric guitar. This is not a guitar that blends in — it turns heads. The unique Root Beer finish looks nice in photos.. but it looks even better in person.. with the curly maple flame that shifts depending on how the light shines on the body.

There are several variations of the Root Beer finish for this particular model. Some finishes have the wood grains a lot closer.. kind of "spottier" (if that makes sense). Other Root Beer finishes have more longer wood grain waves on the body of the guitar. This particular Gibson Midtown Deluxe seems to have more "curly" and "wavy-er" wood grain finishes that start from the center to the end of the body. Very unique and distinct look that separates it from the other Midtowns in my opinion.

This Midtown Deluxe is kind of like a Gibson Les Paul combined with an ES-335.. You get the solid sustain of an LP but with a semi-hollow warmth due to the sleeker and lighter body weight compared to most traditional LP's or ES-335s. The double cutaways make it very easy to access the upper register frets on the guitar.. making it simple to solo or shred (if that's your playing style).

Gibson discontinued the Midtown line, and Root Beer was a limited-run finish. You won’t see another one like this pop up often — especially in this condition. Whether you’re a collector, a gigging player, or a tone chaser, this Gibson guitar will be appreciated by any serious player or fan of Gibson instruments.

This particular Gibson guitar is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Very clean overall and very well-maintained with no signs of abuse or extreme playing. Some minor signs of surface scratches and marks on the body. Some scratches on front/back/sides of guitar from normal playing. Some dust on headstock area that can be easily wiped. The fretboard has been recently oiled and now plays excellent and super smooth. NO HEADSTOCK CRACK.

This guitar has been upgraded Grover locking tuners for superior tuning stability and intonation. Check the front side of the headstock - you will see a locking mechanism that semi-bends the strings into an 18:1 ratio... keeps your strings securely in place when playing. Very nice feature if you are a gigging musician or studio player who needs the most reliable tuning stability on your guitar. However, the ORIGINAL GROVER TUNERS WILL BE INCLUDED IN SALE... (in case the next owner wants to keep this guitar all original). Other than that, this guitar is ALL ORIGINAL with NO MODS.

Overall, this is a very high quality Gibson Les Paul guitar. This Midtown Deluxe isn’t just another Gibson—it’s a sleeper classic that delivers Custom Shop vibes without the hype price. And this one? Clean, rare Root Beer finish, and sounds absolutely killer when plugged into any quality tube amp.
