Up for sale is a very rare and unique guitar in the Gibson guitar lineup called: Howard Roberts Fusion #1 (Semi Hollowbody w/ 2 F-Holes).

This model Gibson guitar was the 1st Generation model of the Howard Roberts Fusion. The most significant difference is the "Kahler-like" bridge with the TP-6 tailpiece and 6x fine tuners located on the bottom of the guitar. This feature with the fine tuners makes this guitar much more tuned precisely and accurately compared to the GEN 2, GEN 3 models with the standard bridge + "Finger Tailpiece" variation.

This guitar is probably one of the most underrated Gibson guitars I've played... and also one of the easiest guitars to play on. Although technically built as a jazz/blues style guitar because of the F-Holes and Semi Hollow Body style (also Howard Roberts was a jazz guitarist), you can pretty much play any genre with this guitar - it is super versatile. It sounds great for rock, heavy metal, classic clean tones, blues or even simple strumming straight through an amp.

This Howard Roberts Fusion guitar is in overall very good condition with some slight visible wear from normal play. Some scratches on the front body/back/sides of guitar. Some light superficial buckle rash on top back of guitar from play. Some play wear on the fretboard from cowboy chording style playing. The binding color has started to age naturally from original white to now a beige hue color.

The patina of the hardware has also started to form over the decades with metal hardware changing colors to darker silver. Has a small surface wear on the wood finish on the bottom side of Florentine cutaway area. Natural check marks have started to open up on the wood giving the guitar a very nice and classic vintage look. All these have no effect on sound or playability of the instrument. NO HEADSTOCK CRACK.

VERY COMFORTABLE neck profile. Feels very full and whole if your hand size is medium to large. Solo-ers on the middle to upper register and cowboy chord style players will appreciate and enjoy this guitar a lot. Super easy to play everywhere on the fretboard and the action is LOW.

This guitar sounds incredible. The pickup tone is very balanced and well-rounded.. especially excels on the neck and middle pickup. Perfect sound for blues (Gary Moore, George Benson, BB KING) style tonal qualities. Pairs very nicely with any quality tube amp - but this guitar has mainly been played through a Fender Princeton Reverb and Twin Reverb.

Very nice and high quality original Gibson pedal style tuners. Pickguard has been taken off but original pickguard will be included inside the case storage. Gibson hardshell case handle missing but this has no effect on the case protection of the instrument.

Overall, this is an extremely high quality Gibson instrument. The design is unique and 1 of a kind... but still follows the same formula of many famous and iconic Gibson guitars (ES-137, Les Paul, etc). The build quality is superb and the tone is even better. This is a great guitar for both serious guitarists and also Gibson enthusiasts who are looking for a low-key, underrated style high-end electric guitar.
