Up for sale is a VERY RARE Gibson Les Paul Custom "BLONDE BEAUTY" model from 1979.

This LP is in very good vintage overall condition. Has some superficial scratches, marks and dings from standard playing over the decades. Some oxidation on the gold hardware - this includes tuners, bridge, saddle, etc. The binding has aged very nicely from original white to now a "Beige-Ish" hue which gives it a very nice vintage look.

The volume/tone knobs have been replaced to modern "WITCH HAT" style knobs. However the ORIGINAL Gibson Knobs will be included in sale. Other than the knobs, this guitar is ALL - ORIGINAL with no modifications. NO HEADSTOCK CRACK.

The Maple Fretboard Les Paul Customs was an interesting and unique concept when first released b/c LP Customs were known for their Ebony fretboard. The Maple gives the LP a slightly brighter and "punchier snap" when playing without sacrificing the smooth sound that ebony fretboards are generally known for.

These "Blonde Beauty" Les Paul Customs do not often show up for sale b/c not many units were produced. However, for the ones that are for sale - many have very worn out and "blackened" fretboards due to the excessive playing. The fretboard on this Maple LPC is still in excellent condition with plenty of fret life left.

Has a VERY COMFORTABLE modified "Slender C" shaped neck. Starts off a bit slimmer on the first 1-5 frets, then gradually gets a bit thicker down the neck for easier play (especially for chord grips and shredding on the upper registers). One of the MOST COMFORTABLE Gibson Les Paul necks I've personally played. Cowboy chorders and solos will appreciate the design and construct of this neck profile.

3-Piece carved Maple Top + 3-Piece maple neck with a bound maple fretboard. Very beautiful natural wood grains on both the front body / side / back. The 3-Piece maple neck on the backside looks very similar to the Gibson L-5s in Maple Blonde as well.

These Gibson Humbucking pickups sound EXCELLENT. Pairs very nicely with a quality Tube amp (Princeton Reverb, Twin Reverb Preferred playing RAW). Also takes pedals very well. This is a great guitar for those who play rock, blues, metal and even jazz. The pickups are POWERFUL (best setting IMO is 8 on Volume and 4 on Tone on the Bridge or Neck pickup).

I've played a good number of LP Customs in my lifetime... this specific "BLONDE BEAUTY" is EASILY one of the best guitars I've ever had the chance to play.... PERIOD. Super comfortable neck to play with and the Maple Fingerboard feels incredible on your hands.

Standard Gibson LP Custom Diamond inlay on headstock, 4 knobs (2 tone/2 volume). Real Maple fingerboard. Standard Gibson Les Paul weight (Around 10 LBS). Pretty typical of any Gibson LP Custom... if you're worried about weight, don't get the LP Custom. Simple as that.

Overall, this is just an incredibly great playing and very high quality 50+ year old instrument. The Maple Fretboard just adds the extra uniqueness + rarity to your average everyday Les Paul Custom.
