Up for sale is a very nice 1991 Fender "American Standard" Stratocaster in uncommon LEFT HANDED model.
This guitar is in overall very clean & excellent condition with only very minor signs of play. It looks as if the previous owner purchased it brand new in 1991, played it sparingly over the years, put inside a case and rarely played again.
Some light surface scratches on body/back. Some minor pickguard swirls from normal play. The white pickguard color has slowly changed from solid white to a slight cream-ish hue due to age. Some slight play wear on bottom of neck common for Maple necks. Some dust on bridge/saddle area that can be easily cleaned off. NO HEADSTOCK CRACK. NO ELECTRONIC ISSUES.
Pickups have been professionally upgraded to Kinman-Hx single coils for all 3 pickups (bridge/middle/neck). These Kinman's provide your classic Stratocaster single coil tone while dialing back slightly on the signature single coil hum... while providing a much warmer and more balanced output. Other than the pickups, everything else is all factory original.
The Kinman-Hx are one of the most underrated and high quality pickups that I've personally played on any single coil guitar. The original Fender American Standard pickups will be included in sale (all 3 pickups) as well as 3 separate black Kinman pickup covers.
Overall build quality starting from body to headstock is superb. Honestly, the Fender "American Standard" series from 1989-1999 are one of the greatest Stratocasters Fender has ever made. Fender's quality control during the 90's was excellent and rarely did they make any quality flaws on their guitars (both Telecasters/Stratocasters).
This 1991 Stratocaster is no different. Body is super solid and sturdy. Maple fretboard feels great on your hands.. different than a Rosewood fretboard. I'm sure those Maple fretboard players will understand what I mean. 90's Fender "C-shaped" neck profile is one of my favorite neck shapes of all time. Very versatile neck that can play any genre you want. Jazz... blues... rock... punk.. country.. you name it.
Standard 5 way selector switch. Standard 3 knobs (volume, tone , tone). Double string trees on headstock for more stable intonation. 2 point tremolo bolt system on saddle for stronger tuning and easier whammy use.
Classic Fender black finish with a maple neck... I'm sure Eric Clapton "Blackie" fans will appreciate this Stratocaster. It is high quality in both build construction and tone.
Overall, this is just a very nice example of your classic early 90's Fender Stratocaster. Very simple black and very simple maple... that also happens to sound good. This is a colorway that can match any dress style and a guitar you can play at any event. Call it a "universal guitar" if you will...

The Fender Stratocaster Left-Handed model is a version of the classic Fender Stratocaster designed specifically for left-handed guitarists. Fender has been producing left-handed versions of its iconic Stratocaster for decades, allowing left-handed players to experience the same quality, tone, and playability that right-handed players enjoy.
Key Features of the Fender Stratocaster Left-Handed
1. Left-Handed Configuration
- Body: The body of the left-handed Stratocaster is mirrored compared to the standard right-handed version, with the pickguard, controls, and bridge reversed to accommodate left-handed players.
- Neck: The neck on the left-handed Stratocaster is designed to be played with the left hand, so it is flipped with the headstock facing the opposite direction of a right-handed model.
- String Orientation: The strings are arranged in reverse order, with the low E string on the top (when the guitar is held in playing position) and the high E string at the bottom, making it suitable for left-handed players.
2. Same Legendary Stratocaster Tone
- The left-handed Stratocaster maintains the classic Strat sound, which is known for its bright, sharp tone and versatility. It features three single-coil pickups, providing a wide range of tones, from clean and crisp to warm and overdriven.
- Bridge: The Stratocaster typically features a vibrato bridge (also known as a tremolo bridge), allowing for pitch bending and smooth vibrato effects, a feature that is especially important for left-handed players who want to replicate the expressive qualities of the Strat.
3. Playability
- Neck Profile: Fender offers various neck profiles for its left-handed Stratocasters, including the "C" shape (comfortable and rounded) and the "Modern C" (slimmer and faster), catering to different playing styles and preferences.
- Scale Length: The scale length of the left-handed Stratocaster is typically 25.5 inches, which provides a bright, clear tone and excellent sustain.
4. Customization Options
- Fender offers various left-handed Stratocaster models across different series, including the American Professional, Player Series, Vintera, and Custom Shop lines. Each series offers unique features:
- American Professional Left-Handed Stratocaster: High-end build quality with Noiseless pickups, modern neck profiles, and premium hardware.
- Player Series Left-Handed Stratocaster: A more affordable option with alder bodies, ceramic pickups, and a range of classic colors.
- Vintera Left-Handed Stratocaster: A vintage-inspired series with period-correct pickups, offering a more retro vibe for players seeking that classic 50s or 60s Strat sound.
- Custom Shop Left-Handed Stratocaster: For those looking for a completely customized Stratocaster, the Fender Custom Shop offers a range of left-handed Strat models with custom features, finishes, and materials.
