2019 Gibson LP Jr "Billie Joe Armstrong" Signature Model in Ebony Black.

This Gibson is in overall excellent condition. Some minor superficial scratches and pickguard smudges from light playing.

Never been gigged or played outside. Only played indoors and kept inside the case when not played.

No cracks, no repairs, no modifications or anything of that sort. This guitar is all original just how it left the Gibson factory.

As a longtime Green Day fan, it was no question that I had to try out Billie Joe's own signature Gibson LP Jr...

I've owned the older Billie Joe's Gibson LP Jr (Floyd Model w/ the cheetah print hardshell case) that he played alot during the "American Idiot" era. So naturally I wanted to try this one out to compare the two.

TBH..... Billie Joe's older Floyd Gibson LP Jr and this newer 2019 Gibson LP Jr can't be compared.. mainly because they used completely different pickups and body designs. Billie Joe decided to go with a single 1957 classic humbuckers to give it a bit more bite and sustain to the guitar.

For the True Green Day Fans.... you can get more of the "Dookie" guitar sound on this... like really good with high distortion and gain... like that classic Billie Joe's LP crunch sound that I love personally...

But even though Green Day's songs lean more towards distortion with high gain, this LP Jr sounds surprisingly very good when played on a clean channel as well. I also play a lot of blues/jazz and this guitar has no problem covering those genres.

Overall a very simple yet versatile guitar. Similar vibe to a Telecaster.. very simple.. as in 2 knobs.. but able to produce a variety of quality sounding tones... the tone knob IMO controls probably 70% of the guitars tone... you can truly get some unique tones that you can’t get on a Strat or LP...

Plus the Ebony black finish with the Tortoise pickguard has always been one of my favorite combos.
